GPRS Setting of IM3 or MENTARI on Siemens C55 Mobile Phone

Steps of GPRS setting of IM3 or MENTARI on Siemens C55 mobile phone as follow:

(1) Menu > Setup > Connectivity > point to GPRS > Change > Switch GPRS on? > Yes

(2) Point to Wap profiles > Select > point to Profile one > Edit > point to Profile name > Edit > Edit > change to indosatgprs > Done > Save > point to WAP parameters > Edit > IP Address: 010.019.019.019 > scroll down > Port :9201 > Home page: http://wap.indosat.com > Linger time: 180 seconds > Save > point to GPRS setting > Edit > Deactivate GPRS: No > APN: indosatgprs > Login Name: indosat > Password: indosat > Save. Exit

(3) Point to HTTP Profiles > Select > point to indosatgprs > Options > Change settings > Select > “Change may affect appl. Continue?” > Yes > point to HTTP Parameters > Edit > Linger time:180 seconds > Deactiv. Proxy: Yes > Proxy port: 8080 > Save > next point to GPRS settings > Edit > Deactivate GPRS: No > APN: indosatgprs > Login Name: indosat > Password: indosat > Save.


When the third step finished, GPRS settings of Siemens C55 mobile phone already activated and ready for connect to access web or internet. To enable for chatting with IM, browsing, emailing and any others, you have to connect it to the computer (PC) with data cable and use Siemens C55 handset as a GPRS modem and then do Dial-up Networking setup. The modem type of Siemens C55 is Standard 33600 bps modem and if you use Mentari or Im3 card from Indosat you have to add the extra setting on the modem properties : AT+CGDCONT=1,”IP”,”indosatgprs”
